Moonlight paddle

If conditions are favourable we will meet at the club to be OTW at 7pm for this Peer Paddle to Teston lock and back to the club. Hopefully the moon (which will be almost full) will make an appearance on the paddle back to the club.

I anticipate the paddle will take no more than 4 hours which includes a break for refreshments at Teston lock. You will need appropriate kit for the weather conditions, a helmet if you intend to use the chutes at the lock, refreshments for the snack break and you should be confident in your ability to paddle the distance involved.

It appears that you can't sign up to peer paddles at the moment so if you want to join us please contact me and I'll add you to the moonlight paddle WhatsApp group or, if you have any questions or concerns, I'm happy to chat with you about them.

Disclaimer

All our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise, they are peer paddles.

If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something! Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.

If your trip is being led by someone, a more experienced paddler, river leader, or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.
