Paddles Trips Tours

Brecon Canal (possibly Usk) and Hiking up Pen-Y-Fan

This is for anyone who wants to paddle somewhere scenic on sheltered water. GP/Crossover boats are ideal. All welcome.

We will paddle over the aquadact, through a tunnel and explore Brecon Town as you can paddle into the centre. We'll paddle approximately 10 miles each day.

We may possibly paddle the Usk if is is placid enough.

Those that wish to can take a hike up Pen-Y-Fan, the highest point in the Brecons. A nice 1st hill walk for those that have never attempted.

I will look for a bunkhouse but if not, I know a good campsite. There is other accommodation nearby too. I would expect accommodation to cost no more than £150 per person.

Any queries please message Alan 07384 836480

NOTE: Cut off for booking onto this trip will be 31st January 2024 to enable time to organise accommodation.

All our trips are run by club members like you, and unless specifically described otherwise, they are peer paddles.

If you think that you would benefit from the support of a formal river leader or coach, please contact the trip organiser in advance - we can usually arrange something! Otherwise you should be confident that your own ability matches the trip as planned.

If your trip is being led by someone, a more experienced paddler, river leader, or a coach - it is your responsibility to mention any medical or other issues which may arise during the trip.
