Maidstone to Rochester 15:30hrs on the water.

This 12 mile trip has become an annual event where we start at MCC and finish at Rochester Cruising Club for a drink and meal in the RCC clubhouse for those that wish to partake. The trip is a handy introduction to tidal waters for the less experienced and a nice social event for all.

Touring and crossover boats are suitable for this estuary trip.

The trip should last about 4 and a half hours and we'll start during daylight and finish early evening watching the scenery change with the light as we go. We do not need to rush, we can exit at Rochester at any state of tide.

Landmarks on the way are Allington Lock (we get to pass through it) Aylesford Bridge, Wouldham, HS1 and Medway Road Bridges, Rochester Castle and maybe the Russian Submarine for stronger paddlers :)

Bring snacks, drinks and a glow light so you can be seen. Bright torches can be carried with you but not for use whilst paddling generally. Dress for the conditions, spray decks and BAs must be worn.

Please sign up if you can make it and I look forward to seeing you there (weather permitting)

I will add you to a Whatsapp group so we can organise car shuttles since the trip is not a return trip.
